Two Alaska healthcare workers suffer allergic reactions to Pfizer vaccination Meaghan Ellis According to The New York Times, both of the workers are employed at the same hospital. One is described as a middle-aged woman with no known history of allergies. Just 10 minutes after receiving the injection at the Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, AK, the woman reportedly suffered from an anaphylactic reaction to the drug. With the allergic reaction, the woman developed rashes on her face and torso. In addition to the rashes, she also experienced shortness of breath and an elevated heart rate, per the publication. The Latest: Washington state officials see encouraging

OLYMPIA, Washington Coronavirus infections remain rampant, but health officials in Washington state said Wednesday they’re seeing some encouraging signs in recent data, just as front-line workers begin receiving vaccinations. Health Department Secretary Dr. John Wiesman and Dr. Kathy Lofy, the state health officer, said new cases and hospitalizations appear to be flattening a bit. However, they warned people to remain vigilant and to remain home for the holidays, because another surge on top of current case levels could swamp hospital capacity. The state has not seen a jump in cases related to Thanksgiving gatherings. Lofy noted that hospital bed occupancy has even started falling in southwest Washington, but case numbers in the central part of the state have been more troubling.

AllahpunditPosted at 1:43 pm on December 17, 2020 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Certainly true. I’ve said before that it’s his biggest achievement as president, although if you want to make the case for the Abraham Accords I’ll hear you out. Anyway, I don’t think Durbin’s just being a swell joe in giving Team Trump a little credit here. There’s a strategy behind it, one which we may see other Democrats duplicate in the next weeks and months. Watch, then read on. Biden has a problem. He wants to get as many people vaccinated as possible in the shortest time possible. The success of Pfizer’s vaccine and the rosy media coverage around it has made that easier for him if you believe the polls, but he and his advisors know that convincing grassroots Republicans will be a heavy lift once Trump is out of office and no longer stands to benefit politically from the vaccine’s adoption. Anti-vax messaging is already replacing “stop the steal” messaging in some populi
