The Wilton Library, and the Wilton Historical Society are collaborating for their five part scholarly lecture series for the 14th year beginning on Thursday, February 11, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., and going until Thursday, April 8, 2021. The series will be virtual in light of the coronavirus pandemic. Today’s Watchdog is about the circus. Actually, it’s about the greatest showman who ever lived, P.T. Barnum, who in his time was one of the most famous men in the world.
This Christmas, I play ringmaster as we study scams involving Barnum. And did he actually say a sucker is born every minute?
