ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Some Albany residents are fed up after their yards and property continue to be attacked as Albany police investigate a total of 11 cases, some involving arson and vandalism.
The Albany Police Department (APD) released video footage from the 2700 block of Shannon Road from last November. Police believe the suspect may also be connected to an arson and vandalism case in the same area on April 12.
The APD investigation is focused on the West Hampton/Woodbridge Subdivision area.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - An Albany grandmother and her family are feeling scared and concerned after their home was the target of three attacks of vandalism in just over a week.

âWe donât know what to expect next,â said grandmother, Barbara Coleman.
First, it was their front door, then her husbandâs truck and then on Tuesday, a brick, from their own driveway, was used to smash out their SUVâs back glass, according to Coleman.

Hopes of getting an increase to the piteously low federal minimum wage were dealt a serious blow last week when the Senate’s Parliamentarian ruled that it couldn’t be included in the massive COVID-19 relief package now moving through Congress.
The announcement was widely expected, and the ruling from the strenuously nonpartisan arbiter threw a major roadblock into Congressional Democrats’ path to raising the current federal minimum from $7.25 an hour, where it has sat since 2009, to $15 an hour by 2025.
