On NSE, the share hit a new high of Rs 833.70, clocking 66.74% returns for investors. Market cap of the firm stood at Rs 2,729 crore.
Barbeque Nation Hospitality share has clocked 68% gain for investors in the last three sessions. The stock which listed at a discount of 2% on April 7, has risen 67.8% against its issue price of Rs 500. The share rose to an intra day high of Rs 839 on BSE today defying market volatility in the current session. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 2,669 crore .
Shares of Barbeque-Nation Hospitality, on Thursday, were locked in 20 per cent upper circuit, for the second straight day, at Rs 708.45 on the BSE. With today’s rally, the stock has surged 47 per cent from its Wednesday’s low of Rs 481.35.
Currently, the stock was up 42 per cent against its issue price of Rs 500 per share after a weak market debut, yesterday. The stock of Barbeque Nation Hospitality, which owns and operates the popular chain of Barbeque Nation Restaurants, had opened at Rs 492, a 1.6 per cent discount against its issue price on the BSE.
Till 09:25 am, a combined 978,000 equity shares had changed hands and there were pending buy orders for 315,000 equity shares on the NSE and BSE.
The benchmark indices were trading near the day s high in afternoon trade. At 13:20 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, soared 365.86 points or 0.74% at 50,027.62. The Nifty 50 index rallied 146.25 points or 0.99% at 14,965.30.
Larsen & Toubro (up 1.96%) , HDFC (up 1.42%), TCS (up 1.41%) and Reliance Industries (up 0.62%) boosted the indices.
The broader market rallied. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index rose 1.11%. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index added 1.17%.
Buyers outnumbered sellers. On the BSE, 1,920 shares rose and 882 shares fell. A total of 162 shares were unchanged.
Investors risk appetite improved after the minutes of last month s meeting of the U.S. Federal Reserve suggested that Fed officials were united on the need to see more progress on economic recovery before scaling back their bond-buying program.
