Several Members of RPS Community Test Positive for COVID, Staff Can Now Get Same Day Testing Written by HH This morning, Aaron Crook, RPS COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison reported that several members of the Ridgefield Public School community tested positive for COVID-19 over the holiday weekend.  On Saturday Crook said that one member of the Scotland Elementary School (SES) community and one member of the Ridgefield High School (RHS) community have tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals were not in the SES or RHS buildings during a time when they were potentially infectious to others, and no contact tracing is required for RPS.

Past month yields 25 cases of COVID among staff and students at Farmingville Written by HH Aaron Crook, Ridgefield Public Schools COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison reported that a member of the Farmingville Elementary School community tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was not in the FES building during a time when they were potentially infectious to others. There have been 25 cases of COVID-19 in staff and students at FES since November 23rd. We encourage FES families who have not been tested yet to seek a test, said Crook. Crook said that two of the positive cases reported yesterday did require contact tracing for time when the individuals were in the FES building on Tuesday, December 15, and Wednesday, December 16. Contact tracing for these exposures was completed today.

Farmingville COVID Testing Results in Six Additional Cases Written by HH Yesterday, Ridgefield Public Schools, in partnership with the Town of Ridgefield and DOCS urgent care, provided a testing opportunity to all Farmingville Elementary School (FES) families and staff. Late last night, Aaron Crook, RPS COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison reported that the District has been made aware of 6 additional cases at FES. Contact tracing is not required in these cases. In school transmission cannot be ruled out in these cases. If additional cases come to our attention, we will communicate, says Crook.
