Gautam Adani turns his sights on tech infrastructure
After dominating in the physical infrastructure space, Gautam Adani’s Adani Enterprises Ltd has turned its sights on becoming a big player in the technology infrastructure space.
In February, AEL announced a joint-venture partnership with European firm EdgeConnex to create a full range of data center solutions and multiple data centres strategically located throughout India. And earlier this week, the group announced a partnership with Flipkart to strengthen the e-commerce players’ its supply chain operations. While Flipkart will lease a 5.34 lakh sq. ft. space at Adani’s logistics hub in Mumbai, Adani will construct the fulfilment centre for Flipkart to support its operations in Western India. Australian Prime Minister warns of tensions due to territorial claims in Indo-Pacific region.
India and Australia should stand together for democratic freedoms amid “a great polarisation” in the region between authoritarian countries and liberal democracies, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Thursday.
Addressing the annual Raisina Dialogue from Perth, organised virtually this year by the Observer Research Foundation and the Ministry of External Affairs, the Australian Prime Minister described the recently held first-ever Quad leaders’ summit, which he attended along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, as a “historic” moment for “like-minded” countries in the region.

NEW DELHI, Apr 15: India stood firm in preventing a change of status quo on the northern borders and the country proved it will not get pushed under any pressure, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat said today, referring to the border standoff with China in Eastern Ladakh.
In his address at the Raisina Dialogue here, Gen Rawat said China felt that it will be able to compel nations to give in to its demands by doing a little bit of “shove and push” as it has superior armed forces because of technological advantage.
