Prime Minister Narendra Modi reminded the world about a threat looming large from proxy wars and unending terror attacks even during the pandemic.
PM Modi was speaking at the inaugural session of the 6th edition of the Raisina Dialogue on Tuesday. The virtual event was also joined by the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, and the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame.
Putting it in perspective, PM Modi said that it was not the idea of a Third World War that people should fear but the existing and ever-growing threat from terrorism, which needs to be addressed.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday flagged China’s assertive moves such as coercing neighbours in the region and hampering freedom of navigation in the South China Sea, while asserting that the transatlantic military alliance is a key platform to forge convergence on responding to the security implications of a rising China.
In his virtual address at the Raisina Dialogue, Stoltenberg also said India is a “pivotal player” in the Indo-Pacific region and asserted there is a huge potential for NATO to work with the country in different ways without being part of an integrated military cooperation.

India has “walked the talk” on helping the world counter the coronavirus pandemic despite its “limited resources,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, pointing to the supply of millions of doses of Indian-made COVID-19 vaccines, and said the world’s mistaken priorities were the reason for the global struggle to defeat the virus.
