2.3 million minutes of viewing and more: a by-the-numbers look at the 45th Cleveland International Film Festival

That s how much time the audience for the 45th Cleveland International Film Festival known as CIFF45 Streams, because it took place virtually spent watching 117 feature films and 182 shorts films, representing 63 countries, over the festival s two-week online run from April 7-20.
CIFF said in a news release issued Wednesday morning, April 21, that viewers registered a total of 51,216 streams throughout the festival. CIFF assumes an average of two people watching any given stream, and therefore estimates there were more than 102,000 viewers for CIFF45 Streams. The festival says a stream is counted if at least 70% of the feature or short was viewed.

That s a wrap. The 45th Cleveland International Film Festival finished its streaming event online on Tuesday after a two-week run.
117 feature films and 182 short films that represented 63 countries were showcased. 46% of the films streamed including 49% of feature films were directed by female identifying filmmakers.
The CIFF45 Streams audience cumulatively watched 2,316,784 minutes of film with an impressive 51,216 streams throughout the Festival. Based on an average of two individuals watching any given stream, this means that CIFF45 Streams had 102,432 viewers. At this year’s Festival, a stream was counted if at least 70% of the feature or short was viewed.

The wait is over! ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2020’ has crowned its winner. Contestant Arkadeep Mishra won the title of this season. It was an overwhelming moment for the entire team as the season reached its melodious end declaring contestants Niharika Nath as the first runner-up and Bidipta Chakraborty as the second runner-up. Anushka Patra received Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya Smriti Purashkar and Viewers Choice Award based on Facebook response. Singer-mentor Monomoy Bhattacharya s team emerged as the Team of this season .
Arkadeep received Rs. 5 lac and other prizes. While speaking about his winning moment, Arkadeep exclusively told ETimes TV, “I never thought, I will be the champion. Even when we were the last two contestants standing on the stage awaiting the verdict, winning was the last thing in my mind. It took me a few hours, to realise that I won the competition. And suddenly it felt good.”

The annual contest which aims to support young performers of classical music is officially launched on www.armonia.me website.
Armenian Assembly, the organizer of the competition, invites all the young instrumentalists aged 9 to 17 to participate in ARMONIA 2021 contest from all over the world.
All eligible applicants are free to apply online on the competition’s website. Four grants are envisioned to be conferred in the frames of the contest:
Category I: from 9 to 11 years old;
Category II: from 12 to 14 years old;

Gravitas Ventures has acquired the film, which stars the duo as two screenwriters that wind up getting kidnapped by the government after a huge misunderstanding. They quickly find themselves in a real-life action movie scenario as a result.
In Action is set to release on digital and cable video on demand platforms on May 11, 2021. The film only features the two directors, who also wrote the script, and uses a variety of filmmaking techniques to mask its limited budget. The movie won Best Film at Midwest Weirdfest and Audience Choice Award at The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival after a busy 2020 festival run.
