May 5, 2021 Local health officials are asking members of the public to help slow the spread of Coronavirus as healthcare providers report an increase in hospitalizations due to COVID-19. According to a news release from the Rock County Public Health Department on Wednesday there were 24 community members receiving inpatient care due to COVID-19. That’s up from 17 on Wednesday, April 28th. In late February-March the number of patients being hospitalized for COVID-19 was in the single digits. Community members who haven’t already received the COVID-19 vaccine are asked to please make an appointment with a health care provider or local pharmacy.
