UPDATE (WKOW) The Rock County Medical Examiner s Department has identified the person killed in a Janesville crash over the weekend.
Authorities said 36-year-old Casey Swendsen from Stoughton was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near the intersection of East Court Street and Atwood Avenue.
Preliminary results of a forensic examination show Swendsen died from injuries sustained in the crash.
JANESVILLE (WKOW) Janesville police said one person is dead after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
According to investigators, it happened around 2:40 a.m. near the intersection of E. Court Street and Atwood.
Paramedics arrived to attend to the victim, but during their assessment they determined the person pinned under the vehicle was dead.

JANESVILLE, Wis. The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department has identified the Janesville man killed in a crash earlier this week.
First responders were dispatched to North Wash Road and Holland Road in Fulton Township at around 4:15 p.m. Monday for a report of a crash. An investigation revealed a man driving a pickup truck had been involved in a single-vehicle crash.
Authorities have identified that man as 39-year-old Matthew S. Fritz. The medical examiner said Fritz was pronounced dead at the scene.
A forensic examination revealed Fritz died from injuries he suffered in the crash. Additional testing is still underway.
