On February 8, 2021 our beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, Joan James Dewey was called back home to that God who gave her life. Her final few years included a journey through Alzheimer’s disease lovingly cared for by her eternal companion, Charles Daron Dewey, and by many angels including neighbors, her children and their spouses with the grateful assistance of Young At Heart and Hospice of Sweetwater County.
Joan came to this earth as the firstborn daughter of Edwin E. and Margaret Lange James on December 17, 1931 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She enjoyed six years as an only child then was joined by three sisters: Carol Lindsey, Elaine Homer and Marilee Vlam. The four came to be the epitome of sisterhood, known by some as the “James girls”.
