Homelessness in Belleville to be surveyed

Homelessness survey launching next week in Belleville

A survey will be taking place from April 20 to 26th. Those who are experiencing homelessness, including those who may be staying with family and friends temporary, are encouraged to participate. Accessing the survey: Phone or text 343-661-7263 Those who do not have access to a phone can take the survey at Bridge Street United Church during the daily lunch, 11:30am – 1:00pm, or at the Salvation Army during the daily supper, 4:00 – 5:30pm. Organizers say that the information collected will help the community improve their response. “This survey is part of the coordinated Point-in Time Counts under Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy. In March and April 2021, individuals experiencing homelessness will be counted in more than 60 communities across the country. The coordinated effort will help to create a picture of homelessness in communities across Canada,” note organizers.
