THE A419 will be closed northbound for one night next month. The road will be shut from 9pm on Monday January 4 to 6am on January 5 while large items of machinery are delivered and alterations are made to the safety barriers so that the delivery vehicles can move to and from the work site safely without affecting traffic. Drivers travelling on this stretch of road while the closure is in place will be diverted off the A419 onto Merlin Way and follow a signed diversion along Oxford Road, Bridge End Road and the A4311 back onto the A419 at Blunsdon. Improvements to the carriageway at the White Hart junction are half-way to being finished.
