JOHANNESBURG, South Africa UNFPA East and Southern Africa through the Safeguard Young People Programme in collaboration with UNICEF within the 2gether for SRH programme is in the process of developing new content for adolescents and young people on Sexual Reproductive Health and HIV for the Internet of Good Things (IoGT) and developed new polls on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health & HIV Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) for the three mobile platforms that the two agencies work with: U-Report, IoGT and TuneMe. The polls were rolled out in April 2021. The collaboration will also include a reference into IoGT AYP SRH/HIV pages on TuneMe and vice versa for cross-promotion among young people.

Purpose: To describe the timelines leading to presentation, diagnosis and definitive treatment among cervical cancer patients at a tertiary treatment center in Botswana.
Patients and Methods: This was a retrospective study that evaluated timelines to diagnosis and linkage to definitive treatment among cervical cancer patients in Botswana. Medical records of 149 patients admitted at Princess Marina Hospital (PMH) from 2012 to 2014 were reviewed from August 2016 to February 2017. Data collected included socio-demographics, stage of disease at presentation, symptom duration at presentation, diagnosis to definitive treatment interval and treatment outcomes on discharge. STATA 12 was used for data analysis. Frequencies and percentages were used to analyse and present the data. This paper is limited to the analysis of records with documented duration of symptoms, histology turnaround time and the diagnosis to treatment interval.
MINISTRY CONGRATULATES MORE THAN 700 YOUTH IN NORTH

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has assisted a total of 771 youth with its Youth Farm Initiative Programme in the Northern Division last week.
Line Minister Hon.Parveen Kumar Bala said “The Ministry is committed to provide focused and sustainable programs aimed at nurturing young people in agriculture.
“We are particularly promoting organic agriculture as our contribution to ensuring sustainability in the face of the significant impact of climate change we face in Fiji and more recently-the global pandemic.”
He said the government wants a bright future for all Fijians hence the constant emphasis placed by the Ministry on the importance of sustainable living.
