March 17, 2021 in Lifestyle In light of women’s history month, The Daily Trojan is acknowledging our university’s very own extraordinary change-makers. March is Women’s History Month, thus, the Daily Trojan is celebrating achievements that have been made by trailblazers. With respect to the annual theme for 2021, “Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to Be Silenced,” we commemorate the honorable role of women who never backed down from a challenge and exceeded endeavors.  Throughout history, USC is proud to notice alumnae and faculty who pursue excellence in the entertainment industry. Let’s meet some inspiring female figures who continue to break the grounds in entertainment.

What’s going on On Thursday, Salt Lake County Arts & Culture announced that Abravanel Hall, Capitol Theatre, Eccles Theater and Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center will reopen March 25 just over a year after these venues initially shut down due to the pandemic.

Closed because of the coronavirus, these four Salt Lake County arts venues are preparing to host audiences again

| Updated: Feb. 26, 2021, 7:00 p.m. The homes of the Utah Symphony, Ballet West and Utah Opera are scheduled to reopen in March four months after their most recent closure due to a statewide surge in COVID-19 cases. The venues will follow modified health and safety guidelines, including social distancing and mandatory face coverings, county spokeswoman Cami Munk said in a statement. “The health and safety of our performers, patrons, and staff are of the utmost importance to us,” Munk said. “Our phased reopening plans will support us getting back to presenting work to live audiences in a way that protects everyone.”
