Indio High School celebrated 428 graduates on Tuesday evening during commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2021 on the football field.
The two-plus hour commencement included an address from ASB president Sergio Casarubias. In addition, Indio High principal Derrick Lawson and Desert Sands Unified School District board member Linda Porras spoke during the ceremony.

La Quinta High School celebrated its Class of 2021 under the stars Thursday night at the high school s football stadium.
According to La Quinta High principal Rudy Wilson, there were 566 students in the class and 556 seniors received their diplomas during a spirited ceremony the school s graduation program billed as Overcoming Adversity & Embracing the Future.
The graduating class is the largest in the Desert Sands Unified School District this spring. Ultimately, tonight is about the La Quinta High School graduating Class of 2021, Wilson said. Congratulations to all of you for doing what was necessary to make it to this day, and we all know it was not easy.
Clinics will take place at the following locations:
James Workman Middle School: 69-300 30th Ave., Cathedral City; noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday
Cathedral City High School: 69250 Dinah Shore Drive, Cathedral City; noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday
The 12- to 15-year-old age group became eligible for the vaccine on May 13.
To receive their vaccine, students will need: a form of identification (student ID card is valid); completed consent form; insurance card, if applicable; and a parent/guardian present if the student is younger than 18.
Appointments are not necessary, but strongly encouraged, according to a flyer. To register for an appointment, visit myturn.ca.gov.
