Motorcyclists Escapes Injury Following Crash Near Emmetsburg By charguth June 28, 2021 3:17 pm Saga Communications Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)– A Sioux Falls man escaped injury after he crashed his motorcycle in Palo Alto County over the weekend. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office tells us 53-year-old Shawn Birchem was eastbound on Highway 18 about four miles west of Emmetsburg Saturday afternoon when the bike began to hydroplane of wet roads causing him to lose control. The motorcycle then tipped onto side partially ejecting Birchem who was evaluated at the scene by paramedics but did not seek further medical attention at that time. Featured Content
