2 local artists launch graphic T-shirt, bandana, candle shop

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic when her West Brighton tattoo shop was closed for several months, Magie Serpica teamed up with her partner, Brian McGowan, to use their artistic talents to develop a custom bandana shop.
“The original idea began as a budding thought several months prior [to the pandemic], after Magie had attended a trade show event at the Jacob Javits Center in February,” explained McGowan, a fellow artist, known for a mural called “Won’t You Be?’” that he recently painted in Maplewood, N.J. “Knowing the potential and the entrepreneurial capabilities that [we] share, we had discussed the possibility of creating products featuring our art as a side hobby.”
Years & Years, but says he has no plans to abandon his recording career.

It’s A Sin was such a profound experience that has made me think, ‘Wow I would really love another go at something like this.’
“It’s been amazing and I really want to do it again, but I’m going to take it as it comes.
“I’m putting out more music this year, but I am also going to see what happens.”
He also affirmed his love for music by saying he will keep singing “until [he] dies”.
