Free meals are available to the homeless and the hungry in Monroe County nearly every day of the week.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, all of the dinners are served carryout style at the door. All meals are free and served at 6 p.m.
The meals are pre-packaged in paper bags, plastic foam containers or in plastic wraps.

The following is the schedule of God Works! suppers.
Saturdays: Salvation Army Church, 815 E. First St.
Mondays: Solid Rock Church, 77 Wadsworth St.; St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1690 W. Sterns Road, Temperance.
Tuesdays: St. Paul United Methodist Church, 201 S. Monroe St.
Wayne William Grover, 80, loving husband of Joan Cross Grover, of St. Leonard passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
He was first and foremost a family man. He deeply loved his family and worked hard to provide, support, and take care of them. He loved spending time with his wife and children, being on the baseball or softball diamond or in the stands, watching the Orioles, going to the movies, traveling, and countless other adventures. He was a soccer player, first baseman and a softball pitcher, an avid bowler, a dedicated little league sports coach, and a little league baseball and softball umpire. As an unofficial movie critic, Wayne reviewed and watched hundreds of movies at the local theaters in St. Mary s and Calvert and if you asked he could tell if it was worth the ticket. When not taking in the excitement of a good movie Wayne loved to play cards. He shared his passion for a well-groomed lawn with his sons and helped his son, W

GCC’s annual Food Drop will bring food boxes to over 6,000 families this Saturday By: Maura Johnson
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Granger Community Church in Granger and Elkhart is hosting its annual Food Drop for families in need, and both church campuses are looking for volunteers to help distribute boxes of food.
This Saturday, January 23, volunteers will be meeting in the parking lots of the two churches for a socially distanced food drive.
Beginning at 9 a.m., volunteers will work together to assemble food boxes and load them onto trucks and semi-trailers to be delivered to local food pantries, homeless shelters, and neighborhoods around Michiana.
