EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth takes a break on set Jason Chester for MailOnline © Provided by Daily Mail MailOnline logo The drama that consistently follows Kathy Beale around Albert Square was momentarily forgotten on Monday as EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth took a break between scenes.  The British star, who reprised her role as Kathy in 2015, was in high spirits as she chatted with crew-members on the set of the long-running BBC soap.  Dressed in a sober black winter coat and matching slacks, Gillian, 65, was on hand to film additional scenes related to the funeral of former screen husband Gavin Sullivan, played by Paul Nicholas.
