A Boston bus driver was arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a passenger on the bus he was operating last week, officials said.
Ali Ennab, 45, was charged with kidnapping, assault to rape, and indecent assault and battery after he attacked a woman aboard his bus, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Ennab allegedly picked up the woman from a bus stop in the city’s historic East Boston neighborhood of Orient Heights on April 24 at about 7:20 p.m. The unidentified passenger missed her stop while speaking on her cell phone.

Prosecutors in an East Boston court on Tuesday described how a woman’s ride on an MBTA bus last week turned into a nightmare when her driver kidnapped and attacked her after she missed her stop, authorities said.
The MBTA driver, identified as 45-year-old Ali Ennab, is accused of abducting and sexually assaulting the woman on the evening of April 24. She missed her stop while riding the No. 713 bus from Orient Heights in East Boston and was the only remaining person on the public transit vehicle, according to a statement from Suffolk District Attorney Rachael Rollin’s office.

An MBTA contract bus driver is facing multiple charges after authorities say he was captured by a surveillance system on board committing a deeply disturbing assault on a woman passenger.
Ali Ennab, 45, of Revere, who is employed by Paul Revere Transportation LLC, was arraigned Tuesday in the East Boston Division of the Boston Municipal Court on charges of kidnapping, assault to rape, and indecent assault and battery on a woman who was a passenger on the bus he was operating, District Attorney Rachael Rollins announced.
