There s a lot of problem with drug addicts down there [Eign Gate], but that bin has been there for maybe three or four weeks, he said. We re supposed to tie another seagull sack up the next window down every Thursday, they clear the sack on Friday morning and we bring the sack back in. But this is filthy and disgusting. Somebody came to pick the bag up and walked off. All the spillage out of the bag was on the floor, never picked it up. I had to send another email to complain about that, but it s all been picked up.
Infrastructure and transport cabinet member John Harrington has apologised to residents and said he is extremely annoyed and disappointed by the further delay in reopening the road. “John Hardwick, your ward councillor, has formally raised a complaint with me about the continued delay and expressed his own and his residents’ frustration and dissatisfaction,” he said in a letter to residents. “The parish councils of Fownhope and Woolhope have also raised complaints and requested that this issue is considered by the General Scrutiny committee as soon as possible – which I am supportive of and will ensure full cooperation with. “Aside from general scrutiny, I have ordered an independent examination of the process by another major civils company, to examine why problems and delays have hampered progress at this site.
This was the scene near Bromyard this morning where snow had been falling at around 5am. It s after the Met Office issued a snow and ice warning for Monday in Herefordshire. It said:
