How do we work?

The Baltic Assembly is an international organisation for cooperation among the parliaments of the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania, founded on the basis of the Joint Decision adopted by the members of the Supreme Councils of the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania in Vilnius on 1 December 1990. The Baltic Assembly functions on the basis of the Agreement of the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania on Parliamentary and Intergovernmental Cooperation of the Baltic States signed in Tallinn on 13 June 1994, the Statutes and other legal acts adopted by the Baltic Assembly.

35th session

th Session of the Baltic Assembly and the 22 nd Baltic Council to discuss security and defence, migration and EU external border security, strategic communication, energy security, transport and infrastructure, cooperation in education and research and other issues. Members of the Baltic Assembly jointly with governmental representatives discussed joint actions of the Baltic States, closer cooperation of border guard services, demographic situation in the Baltic States and state policy for family support, joint actions for development of regional transport infrastructure of the Baltic States,  Rail Baltic/Rail Baltica project, transport corridors and cross-border cooperation. Baltic parliamentarians adopted documents of the 35 th Session of the Baltic Assembly.
