Mattie s Call issued for missing Paulding woman who left without her oxygen tank

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. Authorities in Paulding County are looking for a missing woman who uses an oxygen tank, who hasn t been seen since Monday. The sheriff s office has now issued a Mattie’s Call, Georgia s statewide alert for missing disabled and elderly people, for her.
According to the Paulding County Sheriff s Office Bonnie Jean Smith, 63, left her Willow Springs Road home in Dallas, Georgia about 8:15 p.m. Monday night. Authorities said she was going to get a parfait from the Racetrack near a hospital, but she didn t return.
SHERWOOD â Area law enforcement participated in a pursuit Saturday evening, but the suspect remains at large.
According to the Defiance County Sheriffâs Office, a sergeant attempted to stop a vehicle at 8:21 p.m. for a traffic infraction on U.S. 127 near Sherwood. The motorist failed to stop and the pursuit began.
The high-speed chase continued into Paulding County, where the motorist lost control of the vehicle at Paulding County roads 424 and 73. The vehicle slid off the roadway. The driver reportedly exited the vehicle and fled the scene.
As of Monday evening, no arrest had been made in connection with the pursuit.
PAULDING â A Paulding man sustained serious injuries Wednesday afternoon during a one-vehicle crash near here.
Joseph DenHerder, 37, was taken by Paulding EMS to Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, with suspected serious injuries.
According to the Paulding County Sheriffâs Office, at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday on Township Road 162 in Emerald Township, a vehicle driven by DenHerder left the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.
Damage was heavy to the vehicle.
