Programs will include beloved masterpieces; music by living composers and composers of color; and hidden treasures in orchestral repertoire, with episodes premiering October 14 at 8 pm and released weekly thereafter. The 29-minute film was produced by Early Light Media as part of its Invisible Thread series which focuses on “people-driven stories” and “explores human connectivity” and premiered at the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colo., in May 2019.

With a wide range of musical interests and experience, Mohamed played bass in a high school go-go band, has worked as a substitute violist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and currently performs with a Washington, D.C., indie-rock band.

Dr Arthur Bushel, WWII Army dentist and pioneer in fluoridation, dies

By JACQUES KELLY | The Baltimore Sun | Published: December 26, 2020 BALTIMORE (Tribune News Service) Dr. Arthur Bushel, a retired dentist who taught at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and was an expert on fluoridation, died of complications of normal pressure hydrocephalus Nov. 21 at the North Oaks Retirement Community. He was 99. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Dr. Harry Bushel, a dentist, and his wife Bertha. He followed his father and also became a dentist, graduating from the Columbia University School of Dentistry in 1943 and returning after the war to Columbia to earn a master’s degree in public health.
