The Kansas City metro area continues to reopen as more and more of the population gets the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Wednesday the state has 312,591 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and there have been 5,053 deaths since the outbreak started. Overall, the state said 40.5% of the population has been vaccinated with at least one dose.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services said Wednesday there have been 508,205 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the outbreak and 8,996 deaths. Overall, the state said 40% of the population has received at least one dose and 33.2% have completed vaccination.
