MACON, Ga. Some people in Milledgeville are waking up under a boil order on Friday, but schools there are back to in-person classes.
On Thursday, City Manager Hank Griffeth said some people may have no water or low water pressure because a water main break is impacting customers along Highway 49 and in the Allenwood Subdivision.
The break is actually on Blandy road. It is now repaired, but the Balwdin County Water Department says anyone who lost water service or saw low pressure should boil water before consuming it.

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama Cadets from Robertsdale and Elberta high schools celebrated their achievements and talked about the challenges of the past year as part of the annual “Pass-In-Review” conducted Wednesday, Dec. 9 at Robertsdale High School.
Because of travel restrictions, the annual inspection, which would have been conducted by new NJROTC Area 8 Commander Michael Mullen, was instead conducted by Baldwin County Schools Superintendent Eddie Tyler.
“On behalf of the Board of Education, I want to say how proud I am of this group of students,” Tyler said, “who have set and are already achieving their goals. They are a testament to their communities and a prime example of what is being accomplished here in Central Baldwin County.”

The Baldwin County School District schools will be closed Thursday, according to school officials due to a city water main break. A statement from the schools reads:Â All schools within the Baldwin County School District will be closed today, Thursday, December 17, due to a major water main break reported by city officials in the area of Blandy Road. The break is a feeder line that provides water to most of the schools in this area; therefore the decision has been made to close school for today. Students will be learning remotely and all staff will also be working virtually. We will continue to monitor the situation. School is expected to continue as normal Friday, December 18, unless conditions from the water main break deem it unsafe to do so.
