MOBILE, Ala. (WALA)- On January 27, 2021, investigators with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office arrested Anthony Fillingim, Jr. on four counts of Possession of Obscene Matter.
The Baldwin County Board of Education says Fillingim, the band director at Fairhope High School, is on administrative leave and has no other information at this time.

MOBILE, Alabama A school resource officer with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on administrative leave after she was arrested on DUI charges while off-duty in the early morning hours Sunday in Mobile.
Records show that 38-year-old Lisa Bedgood was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail at 1:58 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving under the influence. She was released at 6:26 a.m.
According to a release issued Monday by the BCSO investigations division, Bedgood has been with the Sheriff s Office for five years and was assigned as a School Resource Officer. According to reports, she was stationed at Delta Elementary School.

MAGNOLIA SPRINGS, Alabama The second suspect has been arrested in a kidnapping and robbery that occurred the day after Christmas at a Magnolia Springs RV and mobile home park.
According to online records, 23-year-old Kirkland River Cohen of Loxley was booked into the Baldwin County Corrections Facility Jan. 16, charged with first degree robbery, first degree kidnapping and first-degree assault and had yet to receive bond as of Sunday, Jan. 17.
According to information provided by BCSO investigations command, Cohen was wanted in connection with an assault and kidnapping that occurred Dec. 26 as the alleged victim dropped an acquaintance off at Valley RV and Mobile Home Park, located off of Magnolia Springs Highway in Magnolia Springs.

Elberta Police Department and Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 15000 block of Boros Road in Elberta on Jan. 14. Once on the scene, officers located a male victim who had been stabbed several times. A male suspect was also located by the departments. The suspect, Donte Stansel (48) of Foley, admitted to stabbing the victim during a fight.
The unnamed victim was transported to a Pensacola hospital by life flight. The victim is in stable condition after undergoing surgery.

SPANISH FORT – Baldwin County investigators identified the person found dead in water off the Mobile Bay Causeway as Joshua Pettigrew, 28, of Jackson, Miss.
Investigators do not believe that Pettigrew’s death was a homicide, but are still working to determine how the victim died.
On Jan. 2, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a site near Meaher Park when a body was found in shallow water near the Blakeley River. The Alabama Marine Patrol and Daphne Search and Rescue The person had been dead for several days, according to Sheriff’s Office reports.
