The biggest W tonight.
Harper had to exit Wednesday night s game after he was drilled in the face with the first pitch in the top of the sixth inning by left-handed relief pitcher Génesis Cabrera.
Despite some minor bleeding and being knocked down by the pitch, Harper was able to walk off the field under his own power.
At first glance, it looked like the pitch may have left Harper with one or more broken bones in his face. Instead, the Phillies dodged a major bullet and will not have to worry about Harper missing much time. Harper is not in the lineup for the series finale Thursday afternoon.

Nolan Arenado s homer caps day of big steps in return to normalcy Ryan Fagan
ST. LOUIS The journey back to normalcy or whatever the new normal will look like in a world where vaccines are available and our ability as a society to lessen COVID-19 s impact has increased is a bit different for everyone. There are small steps and big steps along the way.
For me, Thursday represented two big steps. Giant steps. Long-, long-awaited steps.
After dropping our kiddo off at daycare, I drove a couple hours down Interstate 44. At a drive-thru vaccination site on a Phelps Health Center parking lot in Rolla, Mo., I got my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at 9:53 a.m.
How It Happened
With the score knotted up at 2 each, sixth inning madness ensued as Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina hit a tiebreaking sacrifice fly to take the lead over Miami. St. Louis went on to score three runs in the inning. Later in the ballgame, Dylan Carlson rocketed a solo home run in the ninth inning to solidify a Cardinals victory. The insurance run was Carlson’s second homer of the year.

After struggling to find his groove early on, Cardinals starting pitcher John Grant managed to work his way out of a no-out, bases-loaded situation in the bottom of the third. Grant struck out four batters; however, he accumulated three walks over four innings.
