Dr. Geoff Nugent is a Board Certified Professional Counselor (BCPC), licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) in five states (Nevada, California, Arizona, Idaho, and Utah), and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). His focus includes adolescents dealing with depression, anxiety, addiction, self-esteem, relationship, and behavioral issues.
Dr. Geoff Nugent earned his Ph.D. in Health Psychology from Walden University, where he was recognized for outstanding scholastic achievement. What makes this infectious disease so deadly to children?
Pneumonia is a lung infection that causes the air sacs (alveoli) in the lungs to fill up with fluid or pus, making it difficult to breathe in enough oxygen for the body.

A home-based parenting programme to prevent childhood behaviour problems, which very unusually focuses on children when they are still toddlers and, in some cases, just 12 months old, has proven highly successful during its first public health trial.
The six-session programme involves providing carefully-prepared feedback to parents about how they can build on positive moments when playing and engaging with their child using video clips of everyday interactions, which are filmed by a health professional while visiting their home.
