th year, the annual Vancouver Sun Run will return in a unique way. Due to the ongoing effects of the novel Coronavirus, the 10k Vancouver Sun Run and 2.5k Shaw Mini Sun Run will take place virtually from Sunday, April 18
th through to Friday, April 30
th.

Although COVID-19 has impacted many activities in our daily lives, BC health officials are encouraging people to get outside and be active. Pacific Blue Cross, a longstanding sponsor of the Vancouver Sun Run volunteer program, is evolving its support to the recently refreshed walking category. Participants from all over British Columbia and throughout Canada will be encouraged to complete their own versions of the iconic race within their respective communities.

âI am deeply committed to building a healthier future for our children, and couldnât be more excited to work with the staff, donors, hospital partners and supporters of B.C. Childrenâs Hospital Foundation to continue improving the lives of kids and families through the advancement of philanthropy,â Berry said in a release.
But those topics including COVID-19, global warming and Black Lives Matter aren’t the usual easy-breezy fare for children’s books. But Sayani thinks this year more than ever, it’s important to teach children about equality, bravery, overcoming obstacles and for both children and ourselves to try and always find a silver lining.
“Babies and kids are so fearless and as they read the book, I want them to know that they have the power to be the change. This book is for the bold parents, who don’t shy away from these heavy topics with their little ones,” she tells Daily Hive.
