Fayetteville, N.Y. Village of Fayetteville Mayor Mark Olson has tested positive for Covid-19.
The village announced Wednesday that Olson tested positive on Sunday after beginning to feel ill last weekend. He and his family, who also tested positive, are quarantining at home.
Olson will continue to work from home, though Deputy Mayor Dan Kinsella is helping with some duties, according to the announcement.
Village board meetings, which have been via Zoom for the last month, will continue to be held remotely.
Olson is tired, but otherwise is doing OK and plans to return to normal duty after he is cleared from Covid-19 protocol next week, the announcement said.
