Doolandella childcare worker Caitlin McArthur, 20, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday to two offences, failing to appear and failing to comply with a direction to stop a private vehicle. The court heard she was lucky to not receive a mandatory 50 days imprisonment for evading police, after the prosecution offered no evidence to this charge and preferred the lesser charge.

Sexual assault charges, Browns Plains
A Calamvale man has been charged after two women were allegedly sexually assaulted while receiving treatment in Browns Plains.
Police will allege the 41-year-old man was working at a medical practice on Grand Plaza Drive when he sexually assaulted two women, on separate occasions.
The alleged assaults are believed to have occurred between April and November this year.
The man has been charged with six counts of sexual assault and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on January 18, 2021.
Officers believe there could be more women in the community who visited the practice and may have been assaulted and are urging them to contact police.

A man alleged to have sexually assaulted two women while working at a medical practice south of Brisbane is believed to have targeted others, police say.
The 41-year-old Calamvale man has now been charged over the separate incidents, which allegedly occurred between April and November at a Grand Plaza Drive medical practice in Browns Plains.
It will be alleged the assaults occurred while the women were receiving treatment, police said in a statement on Tuesday. Officers believe there could be more women in the community who visited the practice and may have been assaulted and are urging them to contact police.
