Seven people were displaced after a fire broke out in a Hazelwood home Thursday afternoon.
Crews with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire responded to row houses on the 200 block of Glenwood Avenune around 1:40 p.m. where they were able to quickly extinguish a two-alarm fire, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety Spokeswoman Cara Cruz.
Firefighters rescued a cat and a dog during the incident. EMS administered oxygen to the cat before returning it to its owner, Cruz said.
No other injuries were reported.
Two adults and two children from one home and two adults and one child from another home who were displaced are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
Woman, dog found dead following Brighton Heights fire

After putting out an early-morning fire in Pittsburgh’s Brighton Heights neighborhood on Saturday, firefighters found both a woman and dog who had died inside.
Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire crews responded a home on the 4000 block of Cambronne Street just after midnight on Feb. 13, Pittsburgh police said.
After encountering “severe hoarding conditions in the home, they accessed the second floor to find a female deceased with a dog, which was also deceased,” according to Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Cara Cruz.
The Fire Investigations Unit and Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office are continuing the investigation. The woman’s identity has not been released.

Demolition began Tuesday evening on a historic East Carson Street building, a day after fire gutted the structure and left businesses and residents without a home.
One man died in a midday house fire Tuesday in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood, fire officials said.
The fire was reported just before 1:45 p.m., and crews were at the Knox Avenue home by 1:50 p.m., according to Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Chief Darryl Jones.
Crews were trying to get to the second floor of the home where the man was thought to be trapped when the stairs to the second floor collapsed, Jones said.
Thomas Fox, 68, was found dead in the home, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office.
Two firefighters were injured, Jones said. One suffered an ankle injury and the other a groin injury.
