The Calcutta Municipal Corporation, Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation and the CMDA have taken the decisions following the state government’s announcement that parks will remain open from 6am to 9am from Wednesday and only those who have taken both doses of a Covid vaccine can enter.
“There will be notices outside the parks telling visitors to enter only if they are fully vaccinated. It is not feasible to check whether every visitor is vaccinated,” said an official of the CMC, which manages about 700 parks.
