He added this was achieved as of Saturday (July 3).
“With this, we managed to achieve the three main indicators to enter into Phase Two of the NRP, said Chow.
“I was informed that the relevant ministries will discuss the phase transition for Penang to be tabled in the special session of the National Security Council (NSC) meeting on Monday (July 5),” he added in a statement on Sunday (July 4).
The three main indicators include the number of daily Covid-19 cases reported, the number of people who are fully vaccinated and the state of the healthcare system.
Chow also reassured that it is a balancing act between the vaccination centres’ capabilities and also the vaccines that Penang would be able to receive.

GEORGE TOWN, May 12 ― Penang has submitted an application for a RM3.1 million funding from Putrajaya to build a new city mosque in Batu Kawan, said Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
He said the state hoped that the application for the additional funding will be approved soon.

GEORGE TOWN, April 20 About 20 per cent of those who have registered for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme in Penang have failed to confirm the date of appointment for vaccination, said Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
He said those eligible for phase two of the vaccination will be notified of their appointment dates to go for vaccination.
