In February 2021, Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command and Posti launched a 12-month test for a new method of delivering postal parcels to conscripts. Posti Parcel Points cabinets have been installed to Sotilaskoti canteens in Kainuu and Karelia Brigades.
Posti Parcel Points offer Finnish conscripts a new way to receive and send personal parcels during military service. The Parcel Points can be selected as a pick-up point for delivery of online orders or as a sending point for letters or postal parcels.

Finland has asked all five bidders involved in its HX fighter contest to submit best and final offers by 30 April, ahead of a type selection decision at “the end of 2021”.
“The request for best and final offer and the expected binding offers from the tenderers is the final phase of tendering in the HX fighter programme,” the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command says.

The Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command sent the Request for Best and Final Offer (BFO) for the HX Fighter Programme today to replace its ageing F-18 Hornet aircraft.
The Request for BFO concerns the following multi-role fighters and their related systems and weapons: Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet (United States), Dassault Rafale (France), Eurofighter Typhoon (Great Britain), Lockheed Martin F-35 (United States) and Saab Gripen (Sweden).
The deadline for finalized tenders is 30 April 21 while the government will decide on the procurement at the end of 2021.
