Crumbe - Live at The Retreat

About this event Introducing the long awaited debut EP by Melbourne based four piece, Crumbe. Crumbe is a collision point between surf, pop, indie and lyrical candour with a healthy dose of the post punk grit that has characterised Melbourne’s live scene for the past decade. Snakes & Ladders , the first single off the album, was released during lockdown last year turning up on radio stations across Australia. Crumbe features lead-singer, guitarist and songwriter Connie Ogan, bassist Kurt Mottershead, Scotty Bairdle on drums and Owen Eales on lead guitar. Together they bring Connie’s love washed tunes to life. Joining Crumbe is local band, The Delvenes, serving up Melbourne-flavoured surf twang with a tasty band-next-door jangle.

Compared with the 2010 eruption of Eyjafjallajokull, whose ashy discharges wreaked havoc, leading to more than 100,000 cancelled flights across Europe, it was relatively small fry. Rather than post-apocalyptic scenes of darkened skies, viral videos have shown scientists cooking sausages on the red-hot lava and locals casually playing volleyball nearby.
