Covid-19: Biman suspends Muscat-bound flights for a week UNB, Dhaka UNB, Dhaka Biman Bangladesh Airlines has cancelled all of its flights to Oman for one week from Tuesday following a travel ban issued by the country.  The Sultanate of Oman recently imposed a travel ban on international flights to implement its ongoing Covid-19 precautionary measures.

Deputy Commander, ANM Masuf Abdullah, additional superintendent of police, is leading the 70-member Bangladesh Formed Police Unit (BANFPU-1) seventh rotation while additional SP Saifuzzaman is leading the BANFPU-2 third rotation. Mazharul Islam, additional inspector general of Police; Tawfique Mahbub Chowdhury, deputy inspector general (Media and Planning) and officials of the UN Affairs wing saw them off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, said a press release of Police Headquarters.

news Biman suspends Saudi-bound flights Hundreds of passengers stranded at HSIA The New Nation Staff Reporter : Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all its flights bound for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for a week, as the Saudi government suspended on all international commercial flights due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The national flag carrier cancelled all its flights towards Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam from Monday, said Tahera Khandaker, Deputy General Manager (public relations) of Biman, in a press release. As a result, hundreds of passengers have been stranded at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) as they gathered to fly before the decision. The Saudi bound passengers showed their dissatisfaction and anger at the cancellation.

More  than 4,000 passengers of various international airlines are being received everyday at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) Of them, some passengers have been found to be infected with coronavirus. In the last one week, at least 17 corona positive patients came to the airport.
