In a shocking revelation, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has found that several contractors have been providing
fake bank guarantees and fixed deposit receipts (FDRs) while undertaking contracts for various developmental works from the local body.
During an investigation conducted by the civic body to gather records for the past three years, it was found that 18 contractors had provided fake FDRs and bank deposits in 107 such incidents. PCMC’s standing committee has now issued an order to blacklist all these firms and file of
