WWE has announced that Cena will return to SmackDown on this week s episode. Following his surprise return at Money in the Bank and his appearance on tonight s Raw, it will be Cena s third appearance on WWE programming this week.
Cena confronted Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank after Reigns successfully defended his Universal Championship against Edge. Reigns vs. Cena is expected to take place at SummerSlam next month but hasn t been officially announced.
Cena is kicking off tonight s post-Money in the Bank episode of Raw and will explain his motivation for returning at last night s pay-per-view.
