Pueblo police
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) Pueblo police are searching for a suspect involved in a bank robbery on Tuesday.
According to police, a man entered the Power Credit Union on E. Evans Avenue at 9:15 a.m. and handed a teller a note, saying they were being robbed.
No weapon was seen during the robbery.
Pueblo police say the man left the area in a silver 2-door car.
The suspect is described as a younger man, thin build, and 6-foot. He was wearing a yellow construction helmet, orange reflective vest, black pants, white long sleeve shirt, red gloves, with a gray gator neck that covered his nose and mouth.
A Pueblo woman was shot Wednesday in one of three drive-by shootings that took place between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
The unidentified woman was transported to a local hospital Wednesday night with non-life-threatening injuries. No other gunshot victims were reported in the three incidents, according to Pueblo Police Department spokesperson Franklyn Ortega.
It’s currently unclear whether the three shootings might be connected, but police reports indicate .22-caliber shell casings were found at two of the three scenes and a .22-caliber bullet and bullet fragments were recovered at the third.
Police were called to the scene of the first shooting at approximately 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, after several rounds were fired into a mobile home in the 1800 block of West 30th Street, striking the female victim twice. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing a light-colored hatchback vehicle, possibly a Subaru.
Pueblo Police are investigating a homicide of a 44-year-old Pueblo man which occurred during the early morning hours Sunday near the intersection of McCulley Avenue and Cedar Street.
According to Capt. Tom Rummel, police were called to the scene at 1:15 a.m. Sunday by a resident who heard a gunshot, looked outside and saw a male laying in the street. Officers arrived to find the male with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The male victim died at the scene. He was identified as David Lucio Tafoya, 44, of Pueblo, according to Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter. Next of kin have been notified.
