Man charged in death of 4-year-old found decomposing inside home after two adults overdose
As Beaumont police continue the investigation into the death of a four-year-old, a man who was found overdosing inside their apartment has been charged with child cruelty.
The girl was found dead inside an apartment on Dec. 16. According to the Beaumont Police Department, the initial investigation revealed that the girl had numerous bruises throughout her body and appeared severely malnourished. Investigators said that based on the rate of decomposition, she had been deceased for approximately 1-2 days.
Cal Fire was initially called to the apartment to respond to a report of a person having a seizure. When first responders arrived they found two adults overdosing.

BEAUMONT, CA A devastating incident reported this week by the Beaumont Police Department shows the often heartbreaking fallout of drug use.
Around 8:54 p.m. Wednesday, Beaumont police were called by Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department to an apartment in the 800 block of E. 6th Street. Firefighter paramedics were first dispatched due to reports of someone at the residence having a seizure.
But when crews arrived, they found a dead little girl and a man and woman who appeared to be overdosing.

The two adults were hospitalized, but the woman did not survive. At last report, the man was listed in critical condition.

BEAUMONT, Texas One of two doctors arrested in an October anti-human trafficking bust in Beaumont has been barred from practicing medicine.
The Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended Dr. Sadiq Ali s license without notice effective immediately Friday, Dec. 18, spokesperson Jarrett Schneider said in a news release.
The decision came after the board learned Beaumont Police arrested Dr. Ali and charged him with prostitution with someone under 18 years old, which is a second degree felony.
