(25 News) PEORIA, Ill. Peoria Police are investigating the city’s ninth homicide of the year. Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said reports of multiple shots fired came from the Hedgehill Apartment Complex, located in the 3600 block of W. Hedgehill Lane, around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday. A caller also told police there was a possible victim inside a vehicle in the parking lot. An abandoned vehicle was found. Dotson said a male victim with gunshot wounds was also found nearby on the ground. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have no suspect information at this time.
