The Saudi Navy has been blockading Yemen – stopping food and medicine getting through to the country.
The United Nations believes five million civilians in Yemen are “one step away” from famine.
But it appears Air New Zealand has put an immediate stop to the work and is promising it won’t happen again.
For nearly eight weeks Air New Zealand refused to answer 1 NEWS’ questions about its activities in Saudi Arabia.
First it ignored media queries then claimed it would never discuss its clients.
It has also ignored requests for interviews.
Last week it finally issued a short statement saying Air New Zealand Gas Turbines had been carrying out work for the Saudi Navy through a third party contract.

Boris Johnson is coming under pressure to end Britain s support for Saudi Arabia s war in Yemen following a reversal of policy from the United States.
New US president Joe Biden on Thursday said the conflict had created a humanitarian and strategic catastrophe in his first foreign policy speech in office.
Adding that the war has to end , he announced an end to relevant US arms sales to Saudi Arabian forces.
In common with Mr Biden s predecessor Donald Trump, the UK has been steadfast in its support of Saudi Arabia, which has been bombarding Yemen for six years.
THE British government is facing mounting pressure to end arms sales to Saudi Arabia after President Joe Biden announced an end to US support for the bombing of Yemen.
The United States, which will freeze arms sales to the despotic kingdom, is the world’s largest exporter of military supplies. Between 2015 and 2019, US-made weaponry accounted for almost three-quarters of arms sales to Saudi Arabia, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
Britain has also been a major provider of arms to the Saudi-led coalition bombing Yemen. Since the war began in March 2015, Britain has licensed at least £5.4 billion worth of military equipment to the Saudi regime.
BRITAIN must follow the lead of the Biden administration and freeze arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, anti-arms campaigners have urged.

US-made equipment accounted for almost three-quarters of all sales to Saudi Arabia by volume from 2015 to 2019, according to estimates by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
Britain is also a major contributor to Saudi Arabia, with at least £5.4 billion worth of arms supplied to Saudi forces since the start of the the war in Yemen.
