Whilst it is Seplat s policy not to comment on press articles, on this occasion it is deemed necessary to clarify Seplat s position on the contents of the inaccurate media coverage. Seplat is current on its royalties to the Federal Government of Nigeria, with a record of increased royalties over a decade of successful production. Reference in the media coverage was made to the assets that are held by Seplat in joint venture partnership with the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Limited (NPDC). Further to the Company s previous announcements in relation to the Restructuring, the Company is pleased to announce that the Scheme Conditions Effective Date has occurred.
Accordingly, implementation of the Restructuring has commenced and it is expected that the Restructuring Effective Date will occur on Wednesday 10 March 2021.
