Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) has sent a letter to his colleagues in the Republican conference of the Senate asking them to call on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) to retract and apologize for a tweet in which she falsely claimed that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) “almost had me murdered” and suggested Cruz was “trying to get me killed.”
Lee said that if Ocasio-Cortez refuses to retract or apologize for these comments or perhaps even if she doesn t refuse, she should be admonished or censured by the House.
