President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has a special interest in improving the primary health care system in Sri Lanka, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle said. The State Minister made this observation at a discussion held with the new Representative of the World Health Organization in Sri Lanka Dr. Alaka Singh at the Health Ministry yesterday (12). The move was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam following the Ministry of Health’s proposal. At an online meeting on HCM City’s Covid-19 situation held on Monday, Dam said that he had received many opinions suggesting the home-quarantine. At present, the pilot home quarantine is being applied in HCM City. People who come into close contact with Covid-19 patients can quarantine themselves at home for 28 days, but strictly following regulations.
