KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will focus on planning infrastructure development in the Malay reserve land (MRL) areas so that they are not left behind in terms of development.
Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa (
pix) said that the move was to ensure that the MRL areas such as Kampung Sungai Penchala, Segambut and Taman Datuk Keramat are on a par with development in the surrounding areas.
He said that usually there will be disparity in terms of development between MRL and non-MRL areas, as there are several private investments in the non-MRL areas, and the government is improving infrastructure while land owners are also developing their own properties.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall, in collaboration with Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, has further expanded the Go KL Bus service by opening the ninth route known as the Chocolate Line to connect public housing areas with several strategic locations.
Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa in a statement said the free bus service involved a 14km route starting from Section 10 Wangsa Maju to the Sri Rampai LRT transit station.
According to him, the route will also connect centres of public focus such as Medan Selera D’Rejang, Masjid Abu Ubaidah and shopping malls such as AEON Big and Wangsa Walk.

PETALING JAYA: Farming stakeholders in the country have welcomed the government’s idea to develop an urban farm and improve living conditions of the homeless in the city centre, but say the plan must be strategically implemented.
Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa had on Monday mooted the plan to offer employment opportunities to the homeless so that they can generate income.
The project is to be carried out at Jalan C.Y. Choy in Kuala Lumpur, near a transit centre for the homeless.
