Plumbers and utility crews stay busy in wake of freeze

As some Comal County residents return to a state of normal, there are still many struggling with burst pipes and other plumbing issues. Along with the utility crews who have been working day and night during and after the storms, plumbers are out repairing the breaks, cracks and leaks. Nickolas Siry is a journeyman plumber with 3 Brothers Plumbing in Canyon Lake. It’s the family business. His dad, Thomas Siry, is the owner. “It’s definitely been some long, long days,” Nickolas Siry said. “The jobs themselves are really, really tough. Service calls aren’t the same as a normal service call. It’s multiple repairs, multiple breaks. New Braunfels Utilities working to resolve low water pressure issues

At least one NBU has not offered a timeline when those water issues would be resolved. Although communities neighboring New Braunfels are experiencing water issues, NBU said it does not anticipate there will be a need for a boil water notice. We continuously monitor the entire water system, a post on NBU s Facebook page said. “NBU will update its customers if there are any changes.” To report a winter storm water outage or low pressure, NBU asks customers to complete the form found on the winter storm resource page, nbutexas.com/winter-storm-resources/. Officials with the Canyon Lake Water Service on Wednesday morning said crews continued to work to restore service in the Lakeside Park, The Oaks, Rolling Hills, Ensenada Shores, Village West, Rancho Del Lago and Mystic Shores areas.
